This Masterclass is designed for health professionals working with palliative patients and family/whānau. It is to be led by Dr Brian Ensor, Director Palliative Care in collaboration with Mary Potter staff and our partners across the health sector.
We will use a case based learning model to look at the management of common symptoms in palliative care. The sessions will include assessment and management of pain, dyspnoea, nausea and vomiting, and delirium. In addition, an end of life pathway will be discussed as a tool for guiding care in the last days of life.
