Gifts of kindness

December 11th, 2018

Every year as the festive season nears, we are blown away by the kindness of our supporters. From hand-knitted trinkets, hand-turned bowls filled with treats, baking and more, thank you from us all. So many individuals and businesses are spreading the Christmas love!

Each year the Kāpiti Woodworkers Guild carve stunning wooden bowls full of treats for our patients and their families. Your generosity and aroha is such a special gift to us all. Thank you.

Every Christmas and Easter, Heather donates lovely seasonal knitted gifts and handmade treats for us to give to patients and their loved ones, and decorate our bases. Heather makes something new every year, and spends many hours working on her crafts for us. She also made a wonderful Christmas hamper. Thank you Heather – Merry Christmas!

For 78 years the RSA have teamed up with NZDF to coordinate and pack gift food parcels, packed chocka full of yummy kiwi favourites. This year we were gifted ten food parcels, for which we are so thankful. We used one as a raffle prize and the other nine were gifted to patients and their families in the community.

A patient wanted to thank Mary Potter Hospice staff for their care and service so sent this delicious chocolate cake to the Inpatient Unit. Thank you!
