Donations needed for Hospice Shops

July 3rd, 2019

Can you help us by donating your pre-loved winter clothing, furniture, homeware, bric-a-brac or small electrical items?

Mary Potter Hospice Shops need items that are in good quality, pre-loved condition. All proceeds from our Hospice Shops go directly towards Mary Potter Hospice, allowing us to provide free care for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families or whānau. We are unable to accept donations that are not in a good condition. This includes goods that are ripped, stained or broken.

Please drop-off your donations at any of our eight shops during opening hours. SKY decoders can be returned to our Thorndon Hospice Shop or Porirua Hospice Shop. Find your local store here.

Please do not dump any donated goods outside our shops after hours. It is very expensive for us to remove dumped goods, which results in less funds raised for the Hospice.

Free collection
For larger items such as furniture, whiteware or estate lots, we provide free collection from your home or business.

It is essential to book your free collection and bookings need to be made at least three days in advance for your preferred collection time. We are happy to collect goods in the Wellington, Kāpiti and Porirua area. If you are located in the Hutt Valley or beyond Waikanae, please contact Te Omanga Hospice or Arohanui Hospice.

Please contact our Hospice Shops team if you have any questions about donating goods on 04 237 2300 or email.

Thank you for helping us turn second-hand goods into first class care.
