Volunteer Vacancy – Day Unit Operational Support – Porirua

Role Responsibilities
You will play a valuable part in the Hospice’s Day unit supporting the Day Unit Co-ordinator in transporting resources and setting up and dismantling equipment for Day Unit sessions. Your responsibilities will include:
– Transporting any required resources from our Porirua MPH site to our MPH Day Unit venue in Porirua
– Unpacking equipment, setting up chairs and tables (already at venue) required for the session
– Cleaning up and repacking chairs and tables tidily at venue and transport resources back to Porirua MPH site
– Adhering to safe manual handling when lifting and shifting

Person Requirements
– Clean full and current driver’s licence
– Have good health and an adequate level of physical strength and stamina to safely
manage the lifting required and setting up
– Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Reliable and open to feedback

Commitment
2 hours per fortnight
Friday 8.45am – 9.45am & 2.00pm – 3.00pm
