Mary Potter Hospice is Wellington’s hospice, and we’ve relied on the wonderful support of the community for more than 40 years. We provide free palliative care for the people of the Wellington Region.
Providing great donor care and running top quality events is something we do very well at Mary Potter Hospice. We are looking for an amazing person who is keen to learn and help with this.
For us, a good event is fun, profitable, community-focussed and well attended. You will support a small but highly energetic and motivated team and be comfortable stepping up to work independently when needed. You must have a full drivers licence and be able to do the full range of event activities – including carrying boxes, erecting banners, ordering tee-shirts, organising raffles and more.
You’ll be a person with attention to detail, good administration skills to implement our donor care programme, an empathetic phone manner and good grasp of the written word. You‘ll need to be flexible at times with your hours of work, and we’ll be flexible with you.
Our values of Mana, Aroha, Rangatiratanga, Manaakitanga, and Kaitiakitanga – Respect, Compassion, Dignity, Hospitality, Stewardship – are very important to us and we apply these to the people who work here as much as our patients and whānau.
If you have a ‘can-do’ attitude and want to make a difference for the people of Wellington, Porirua and Kāpiti – this is your big opportunity!
Then send your application and cover letter by 5 March 2021 to Catherine Hart, Mary Potter Hospice, PO Box 7442, Newtown Wellington 6242 or email Catherine.firstname.lastname@example.org
