Equipment Volunteers (Porirua)

We have two vacancies to fill

Role responsibilities
This role is to maintain the MPH equipment that has been in the community. This is an important role as the Equipment Volunteer maintains the safety and infection protection of our equipment for the use of our patients.

Tasks will include:

  • Log in equipment that has been returned from the community
  • Check for any missing pieces or damage to equipment
  • Clean and maintain equipment so if can be placed back into community when needed
  • Safely and securely store equipment when finished

Person requirements

  • Knowledge of general ocuppational equipment i.e. wheelchairs, walkers (training will be given)
  • Physical strength and stamina – some equipment may be heavy
  • Attention to detail with cleanliness

Commitment
Negotiable depending on need approx 2 – 3 hours per week or fortnightly
