Mary Potter Hospice provides free palliative care for the people of the Wellington Region. We have a 12 bed Inpatient Unit, and a strong Community team. We take a multi-disciplinary approach in order to provide holistic care for our patients and their families.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Community Team as a Flexi – Palliative Care Coordinator in Wellington as we continue to grow New Zealand’s competence in palliative care. The skills and dedication of our people make a vital difference to patients, family and whānau.
Our core values of Respect, Compassion, Dignity, Hospitality and Stewardship are very important to us and we apply these to the people who work here as much as our patients and whānau.
We offer the chance to develop your expertise, a comprehensive education programme, wellness incentives e.g. a contribution towards a gym membership, free EAP services and free flu vaccinations. If you always wanted to make a difference for the people of Wellington Region – this is your big opportunity!
We need you to have a recognised postgraduate qualification (or equivalent) in palliative care (or willingness to work towards) and two years post registration palliative care experience is preferable but we will provide training and support for the right person interested in developing their skills in palliative care. Flexibility, sound time management skills and an understanding of and commitment to the multidisciplinary team approach to patient care are essential.
Please send your application form and cover letter by 27 September 2019 to Catherine Hart, Mary Potter Hospice, PO Box 7442, Newtown Wellington 6242 or email email@example.com
