Mary Potter Hospice is currently recruiting for Health Care Assistants to work in our Inpatient Unit. They assist with the care of patients and families under the direction of a Registered Nurse. They provide a clean tidy and safe environment at all times for patients, families, visitors and staff and actively assist with the patient’s meal service.
Previous experience in a caring role is necessary and most important is comfort working around grief and loss, your positive and flexible attitude and genuine desire to work with our team to ensure the highest quality care is provided. Health Care Assistants work rostered and rotating shifts.
Mary Potter Hospice provides free palliative care for the people of the Wellington Region. We have a 12 bedded Inpatient Unit, and a strong Community team. We take a multi-disciplinary approach in order to provide holistic care for our patients and their families.
Our core values of Respect, Compassion, Dignity, Hospitality and Stewardship are very important to us and we apply these to the people who work here as much as our patients and families.
The skills and dedication of our people make a vital difference to patient and whanau.
