Registered Nurse – Last Days of Life

Mary Potter Hospice is recruiting for Registered Nurse to join our community care team providing support to people to stay in their own home during their last days of life. The programme enhances the care provided by the main carers and other health care professionals in the last and precious days of life.

The role

This rewarding role is based in patients’ homes and provides autonomous expert clinical palliative care support to ensure all our end of life community care patients receive a high standard of care. You will support carers with overnight respite to enable them to continue caring for their loved one during the day at this most valuable time.   

All about you

  • Experienced in caring for people at end of life and have a strong interest in home based care
  • Be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate, and full driver’s license
  • Knowledge of community Health Services and Primary Care
  • Skilled in providing compassionate support to patients and family at a vulnerable time in their lives.
