Registered Nurse- Palliative Care

Mary Potter Hospice is growing our community care team providing support to people to stay in their own home during their last days of life. The programme enhances the care provided by the main carers and other health care professionals in the last and precious days of life.

This fulfilling and important role is

  • Based in patients’ homes
  • To provide autonomous expert clinical palliative care support to ensure all our end of life community care patients receive a high standard of care
  • To support carers with overnight respite to enable them to continue caring for their loved one during the day at this most valuable time.   

You will need to

  • Be experienced in caring for people at end of life and have a strong interest in home based care
  • Be an NZ registered nurse with a current annual practicing certificate, and full driver’s license
  • Be required to undertake pre-employment health screening and complete a Ministry of Justice criminal records check
  • Have NZ residency or a valid work visa
