Mary Potter Hospice provides free palliative care for the people of the Wellington Region. We have a 12 bedded Inpatient Unit, and a strong Community team. We take a multi-disciplinary approach in order to provide holistic care for our patients and their families.
Our core values of Mana/Respect, Aroha/Compassion, Rangatiratanga/Dignity, Manaakitanga/Hospitality and Kaitiakitanga/Stewardship are very important to us and we apply these to the people who work here as much as our patients and whānau.
The skills and dedication of our people make a vital difference to patient and whānau.
We are currently recruiting for casual or permanent Registered Nurses to work in our Inpatient Unit. We are growing New Zealand’s competence in palliative care. Registered nurses who are interested in developing their professional skills are very welcome here.
We offer the chance to develop your expertise; we have a comprehensive education programme; the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced multi-disciplinary teams, in an environment that lets you make a difference.
We need you to have NZ Nursing Council registration with a current annual practicing certificate. (If you have a recognised post-graduate certificate in palliative care that would be great). However, if you’re just starting out in palliative care, you will be supported to develop your skills.
Send your application and cover letter to Catherine Hart, Mary Potter Hospice, PO Box 7442, Newtown Wellington 6242 or email Catherine.email@example.com
