Volunteer Vacancies – Annual Appeal Area Coordinators (Community)

Are you interested in supporting the Hospice’s fundraising efforts?

We are looking for a confident organiser to oversee our volunteer collectors leading up to the collection day and on the day itself throughout Kapiti, Porirua and Wellington. This is a temporary role and ideal for someone seeking project work. We have six vacancies (Friday Thorndon, Johnsonville, and Porirua. Saturday Wellington CBD, Southern and Eastern Suburbs, and Paraparaumu)

Your responsibilities will include

  • Sourcing volunteers to fill key areas
  • Emailing, scheduling and communicating to volunteers
  • Attending meetings and liaising with the project coordinator
  • Ensuring that key areas are covered on the two Street Collection Days

Person Requirements

  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Competent in Microsoft office suite preferred
  • High level of integrity
  • Drivers licence and a vehicle preferred

Two months commencing from late March/early April through to 19 May 2019 – approximately 5 hours per week. Street Collection Days – Friday 17 and Saturday 18 May – eight hours per day
