Receptionist Newtown In-Patient Unit

Role Responsibilities

You will play a valuable part in the Mary Potter Hospice In Patient Unit with general reception duties, welcoming visitors and other administration tasks as required. Your tasks will include:
• Meeting and greeting patients, families, visitors, Hospice staff and volunteers
• Ensuring all incoming phone calls are attended to in a prompt and courteous manner
• Taking messages for staff and patients and delivering to recipients
• Ensuring that the reception area and equipment is kept clean and tidy at all times
• Answering phones and redirecting calls to staff and patients as required
• Other administrative tasks that may be required

Person Requirements
• Excellent verbal communication skills, including an excellent phone manner
• Excellent interpersonal skills and well groomed
• Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
• Have integrity and empathy
• Willingness to be flexible and undertake a variety of tasks
• Commitment of 12months or more

Commitment
• Wednesday 4pm – 7pm four-weekly
• Friday 4pm – 7pm fortnightly (or four-weekly)
• Saturday 9am – 1pm fortnightly (or four-weekly)
• Saturday 4pm – 7pm fortnightly (or four-weekly)
