And the biggest congratulations to Jessica Rowe, who was given the Te Whetū Award.
Jess was nominated by the entire Porirua team. They said:
“Jess arrived at a time of instability for the Porirua team, and quickly and calmly brought a sense of togetherness and intention to the team. She took a directional change within the hospice to take on a management role, and has garnered support in this by being extremely approachable, leading by example, trusting and respecting her staff, exceptional listening and teasing out of issues with a focus on solutions.
“Jess is proactive at promoting the bond between clinical and allied health, and is very inclusive of other staff who work on site but not in her team. Jess leads her team and is one of the team. The hospice is lucky to have her navigating the waka at Te Whare Ranui.”
Thanks to all our award winners for going above and beyond for the Hospice.
