Help us finish Te Whare Rānui

Please help us finish Te Whare Rānui, your new North Wellington/Porirua Hospice base!

E te hapori – ngā mihi

We are proud to have built Te Whare Rānui, our new Hospice base in Rānui Heights, Porirua. We have raised $1,064,688 toward this building, and the main work has been completed. But we need your donations to raise another $100,000 so we can finish the fit-out of this beautiful base.

From Te Whare Rānui we will provide the very best care and support to people with terminal and life-limiting illnesses and their whānau. Last year 234 patients were referred into our North Wellington/Porirua service and this number will rise significantly as the population ages and increases.

The development of Te Whare Rānui will enable us to better meet the growing and diverse needs of people in this area facing a terminal illness. This care will mainly be provided in the comfort and security of the patient’s own home.

It is our vision that people can stay at home for as long as they like, surrounded by family, whānau and friends, and supported by Mary Potter Hospice’s caring and compassionate staff. Helping us meet this need, in addition to staff, will be a team of volunteers such as biographers, Day Unit helpers, community companions, drivers and cooks.

While raising this money this is a big challenge, we know how generous our supporters have been for Mary Potter Hospice in the past. Please contribute what you can to support Mary Potter Hospice in your community – every donation counts, and we are grateful for all your gifts.

Thank you for your continued support.

Ngā mihi nui
