Amy was 16 at the time.
She remembers ‘hanging out’ in the family room, sleeping on a mattress in a nearby room, and visiting the Mary Potter chapel.
She recalls the complex nausea her mum endured.
She also remembers the gentle way hospice staff came to get her and her two brothers, because ‘it wasn’t going to be much longer’.
More than 30 years later, Amy can tell you how important it was for her family to be together ‘one last time’.
