Please give aroha and support Mary Potter Hospice’s Appeal this May
For over 40 years, Mary Potter Hospice has been here to provide free-of-charge compassionate and quality palliative care for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families or whānau in our community. On any given day, our services touch the lives of over 250 husbands and wives, sons and daughters, sisters and brothers, whānau, friends, neighbours and colleagues.
This year we need to fundraise more than $7 million to keep our services free. We depend on our community as only half of the funding we need comes from Government.
On Thursday 13 and Saturday 15 May we’ll be seeing close to a thousand people wearing Mary Potter Hospice bibs and holding collection buckets across the streets of Wellington, Porirua and Kāpiti. And behind each bib and bucket is a story – perhaps of someone loved and lost, perhaps of a Mary Potter Hospice Nurse’s compassion or simply of a desire to help people at the most difficult of times.
Please support your local Hospice and give aroha to help keep our services free. Please donate when you see us on the streets, or donate today.
Please note we are following Charities Services COVID guidelines in relation to this event. Keeping our volunteers and the public safe is our top priority.
