Medical Officer / Senior Medical Officer – Palliative Care

October 1st, 2024

Full time (fixed term for 6 months) – Wellington, New Zealand

As a well-established charitable organisation, Mary Potter Hospice provides palliative care for the people of the Wellington Region, both in our Inpatient Unit and in the wider community completely free of charge. We are looking for a Medical Officer with palliative care experience or a Senior Medical Officer with vocational training in palliative care, to join the Medical Team, based predominantly in the Community across our bases in Wellington, Porirua and Kapiti.

This is a fixed term position for 6 months. We are looking for someone ideally in full time but we would be open to someone in part time with more than 24 hours a week.

Your background and experience will make you a valuable addition to the team and to our multi-disciplinary approach to providing holistic care.

What could be more rewarding than supporting people in your community at the most important and vulnerable time of their lives?

You will never be just a number to us, and neither will your patients. Our values are important to us and we apply them to our workforce as well as our patients and their whānau.

If you are interested in contributing to the future of Mary Potter Hospice and palliative care, we would love to talk with you further.
